Looking for a place in N. WI for a fall fishing trip. Needs to accomodate 8 guys comfortably. Either a duplex type cabin or a big house. Or two cabins right next to each other. Needs to be on the water and have enough dock space for four boats. We are looking for a good Muskie Lake with good numbers, and the chance for a big one as well. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
John

Check out Hilcrest Cottages and ask about the Cedar Lodge. Located on Big St. Germain.

my suggestion to you is to pick a chain ... eagle river, sugar camp, manitowish, cisco ...

i used to run my fall customer appreciation week at the Chanticlear and believe it to be a great choice. he's got hotels, cabins and condos with boat docking and in a protected area on the channel on the Eagle River Chain and if you want to trailer to another lake there are some good ones within 15 minutes. Jake and his staff are good folks and will treat you well.

Hey,

If you are interested in the Three Lakes chain my partner has a Resort on it that has a house that can accommodate 8 guys or many other cabins. plenty of dock space. Randy will take care of you.

I would highly recommend Blue Loon Hideaway on North Twin in noth east Vilas county in Phelps. This is a private cabin right on the lake with the use of a dock and Shore Station. There website is http://www.blueloonhideaway.com

Sounds to me like you need to pick a lake, or area first.

I know the area well (Vilas County). Finding trophies and numbers are hard to do on the same lake. The ER Chain will give you action, but not be a great trophy producer.

Personally, if I were you, I'd concentrate on lakes a little farther north, like LVD, N. Twin, Buckatoben...etc. You can always trailer to the Chain for a day and have some fun.

NML Resort is a nice resort on Lower Buckatoben. DeerPath Resort is a great resort on upper. You can soak suckers off of Deerpath's dock and have a nice crack at huge fish or two.
