I was out in northern IL yesterday in the wind! Boat control was challenging to say the least. Water was in the 52 to 58 degree range and did not see a fish. I always seem to hit the perfect spawning temperatures for my first day on the water every year...

Fished here in Ohio this past weekend. Me and the girlfriend caught 3 muskies that were all small mid 20" fish. She had fun though she got her first 2 muskies. Got them trolling shallow flats.

We got out on the chain for a couple hours Saturday, until my motor quit running! Hopefully it was just a poor battery connection issue! Didn't see any, and water temps were mid 40's in N IL.

33" muskie in Ohio last week. Casting red crawfish, 1 oz rat-l-trap. 43F water.
Going again this week, before the typical weekend cold weather hits.

Popped a couple more today! 35" was the biggest. Gorgeous day out. The feeding window opened for a brief time as we caught both within 20 mins (and about 20 feet) of each other.
First year we ever fished in April here in OH. I try not to think about what I've been missing......

Bruce and I fished shelbyville on thursday the 14, friday 15th and saturday the 16th. got three on friday. Big east winds 20 mph +, rain and 56 degree water temps. I got a 34 on a tuff shad 25' on the down rod. Bruce got a 43 - 30 foot back on the down rod and he also got a 40.5 on a night shiner terminator 25' behind a board. We got some bonus carp and bass. all in all not a bad weekend.
