Been married for 4 years now. I've figured out yes I am not fishing as much as I used to or would like. I have figured out though that completing some "honey do" list things, goes a loooooooooooooooonnnnnngggggg way when fishing season comes around.
I'm starting to involve her more in fishing more now and that leads to more days on the water as well.

Any chance I get, I get her in her kini and take her with me. I would rather fish with that girl in her kini than one of my fishing buddies. Special trip's for a guy's weekend are fun, but I limit those to about 5 trips a year now. Having a cabin up Nort helps combine a big group getaway, so I can go out with a few buddies and the girls can go shopping. I would never put my foot down and go without a blessing, the muskie gods would make sure I understood what the term skunked means if I was that dumb. Then again, I wouldn't go if she wanted me home with her and our boy's. The fish will always be there for another time.

Some of the best fishing trips ever is on the Party barge with the girls in kini's swilling boat drinks just fishing for what bites. They get all excited and crack up laughing when they get a fish. Getting a group together on the party barge is a must when possible, a hot summer day on the water then a bonfire at night. My god I'm sick of winter!

Every relationship I've been in thus far has come to an end because of my fishing addiction / running my guide business.....and its all good! Sooner or later I'll find the girl who makes it work. I always get nervous when girls say they "love the outdoors" or "I'm a country girl".....they just don't understand. It is a lifestyle.

Wife has her own boat with her sister and likes to fish for northerns with spoons when we make the 2 week August trip to Leech. Hates the idea of wasting her time fishing for muskies with me. Darn.

Yep.

Sue really does and really is, and doesn't have to say it much, because she lives it. Best friend, and that's a fact.

And, she can shoot. Really really well.

Yours too, eh? It's cool, but its kind of embarassing! It's one thing when your partner can outcook you or outsmart you. She's managed to outfish me a couple times, and that's okay. But she can outshoot me, and that just ain't fair! I was shooting before she was born...

If you find muskies or fishing in general is more important than finding a quality wife/husband/partner, you've got issues with your priorities in life.

Disagree. Sounds just about right to me.

Catching a 50" is easier than finding a quality woman...at least for me it is.
