| would like ideas for a destination around early or mid july. looking for a smaller lake to fish. we fished the ciscon chain last sept. and early oct. last year ( caught the chain during turn over). the girlfriend did not like all that water to cover ( want to keep her interested in fishing). any good ideas for a nice smaller body of water that I can put her on fish? we live just north of dayton ohio, would like to stay in within a 12hour drive ( mich., wisc., or eastern minn.). also, I am thinking about a fall trip without her. thinking about the chippewa flowage. how is the fall bite? late sept. or early oct. |

Location: Bloomer, Wi | ever thought about doing a river trip? you and your girlfriend could stay interested the entire trip cuz its always new scenery and new water. lots of nice fish in the river too. Give Flaters resort a call in holcombe, wi. 715-595-4771 Joe will put you on fish, plus you can have a shore lunch. plus tons of smallmouth hitting your topwater baits, its a very neat and fun experience. our best day on the river was 5 muskys 3 of which were over 40" 2 guys fishing 8 hour trip. |

Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | Here in Western WI we have a bunch of smaller lakes with pretty darn good Muskies in them. Bone, Deer, Apple River, Cedar, Trade to name a few. These are really smaller lakes that can be fished in a day or two and have a lot of fish. I might even be talked into revealing the lake that I took Sworral and Muskie medic to. Lots of lakes and you could stay at rest point on Bone Lake. The lake has a couple of great places to eat as well. Wilkins for a great burger and Calderwood for a more relaxing dinner. A couple of miles to the Blacksmith shop for all the Tacos you can eat on Friday nite. Nice area and I would be happy to help you out with whatever info I have. |
