Does anyone run a separate battery for their electronics? I just upgraded my depthfinder and am worried about running out of power on long days fishing. Thanks for your input.

no need if you get a 27 size or bigger battery...i run three 5" units and an 8" unit all day on my starting battery (27 size Trojan AGM) with the stereo on as well and haven't had any issues starting the outboard....

I have been runnig 2 fish finders, a GPS, and a 100 watt 4 speaker stereo off a 27 series battery from 2001. Although it still functions, I needed to replace it as it was 10 years old. I just ordered one of these.

It has a reserve capacity of 155 minutes worth of 20 amp load usage. I am pretty sure it will handle the task like a pro.

Lights at night, are more of a drain on the battery than electronics.
