Location: Algonac, MI | Here are two lures from John Muliett's personal collection.
Not 100% sure who made them. Any ideas?
1st one - has S.S 2002 on the belly. Could it be a Sandy Sanderson, Smoker Shad, Super Shad??? I know sandy painted baits for John, but I do not think this is his work.
2nd lure - I am pretty certain this was painted by John. Not sure who made it though.

| could be wrong, but the body shape of lure #2 makes me think it's a NICA... |

| Scott,
The second one looks like something channel lock Chuck made. I fished a few times with his brother Brad (Line-B-out) and he had a couple of baits that looked just like that I think he said Chuck made them. I'll ask Catfish he would know |

Location: Algonac, MI | Jeff - now that you point it out. The bottom one does look like a bait that Brad could have made.
I have some of Chucks baits, but I can ask him on Wednesday if he made it.
Top one is still a mystery. This lure is thru wired construction, does not have screw eyes. Also, has a very good clear top coat on it, maybe envirotex but it has not yellowed, like some of my Parrywinkles did.
I am thinking S.S. 2002 is a Smoker Shad, but could be wrong. |
