Location: Bloomer, Wi | my question is should i put the lip in on the crankbait i am making before applying the 1st coat of e tex? i would like to put 1 coat on before painting so its a smoother surface to paint on. 1 thin coat should be easy enough to clear out of the lip slot right? |

| You Should not have a problem Joe, as long as it's thin, but if it's really tight to start with you may. I did some lokes over the summer with one thin coat and it worked out fine... |

| I have an etex question myself.....we are just starting to try our luck at pianting and have a couple painted, but how do we apply the etex? I have heard both brushing on and thinning for an airbrush, but which works better and what is the trick to applying with a brush and getting it even and without streaks? Someone had mentioned a lure spinner? Is that just some sort of a rotary device that quickly spins the lure to get the clear to smooth out? Thanks |

Location: Pigeon Forge TN. | You can make a cheap revolving unit with a rotisary motor for a grill. The etex is self leveling and you need to constantly turn it till it is set up. Brush marks will flow out in the process. |

DO NOT put etex in an airbrush. brush it on. it will flow while turning. |

| Yeah- I would never put etex in my brush. Just paint it on and it will level if spun. Joe- after you do your first coat on the wood, wipe out the lip slot. Then paint and re-clear. |
