It sure does seem like a lot of big fish are being caught on Medussa's this year. I guess I need to stock up a few.

With the board in a few of the pictures, and the huge size of this fish why no pics on the board?

Guest, good call on the board pics! Truth is we just forgot! The fish looks even bigger on the board. You'll see it on the video and I could try to do a screen grab and post that image. It's prob the most impressive shot!

Do fish caught on a Medussa turn to stone? Seems it would hinder C & R.

Very nice fish!

No problem on making the lure, I wish the ones I have kept for myself would produce a beast like that. Congrats to Andy, Ben, and the other angler (didn't catch his name)

I was lucky enough to see the raw footage and hear the foul language Ben talked about. In the pictures its for sure big, but the video gives all angles and you get a appreciation for the size of her. Very cool story.

When you catch one on a Medussa they turn to stone just as they bite. There eyes turn red too, but when you set the hook they get knocked out of the trance........LOL.

Hey all, I promised I'd post the video of this fish but I'm not quite technically there yet. The video is up in the new issue of the Keyes Outdoors online magazine. Check it out and let me know what you think! Pay attention when the fish goes on the board to the overall build of the fish. She was amazing and still swims today! I hope to run into her again someday! If anyone else knows how to post the video here that would be great.

Monster Fish---Thanks for posting.

Thrax is right about the last picture---Gives the location away.

What a beautiful day to catch a fish of a lifetime.

It would not surprise me if that spot/lake produced a legit state record within the next couple years.

Call me crazy-- perhaps a world record?

Ben, that is a great big fish !
I read your article on Keys last night about 1:00am and couldn't sleep worth a shnit !
I've seen WAY to many monsters up there the last few yrs... and I'm starting to have stupid muskie nightmares about some of those HOGS.
Anyway, that was one of the best reads I've had in a long time, Thanks Buddy.

P.S. Your still a Wussy for having a propane heater on board !! Sheeeshhh....... What would your grandpa have thought ?? HaaHaahaaa. See ya at a show, or at Cave Run.

Thanks a lot...Guys it was the most awesome feeling in the world!! First ever 50 cam from that lake which happened to be my first 40 lber as well! And now so many years later I am the guy who's lucky enough to catch a 50 lber! I hope every musky angler gets to feel the thrill of catching a fish that size! I cant wait till next season and I cant wait till our November trip! Its record breaking time! Also...at the beginning of the trip I said I would where that hat if I caught a massive beast and when I was getting ready for pics Ben made me wear it...to funny...oh well it goes with the story!
