Location: SE, WI. | Actually; Fishing was good as we just bailed out from the Huge low coming from the Dakota's. We cut our trip short by 4 days. 25 -45 MPH winds are pounding the woods right now with gusts in the 50's. Probably take a day or 2 for lake to come back and bite to resume. This current low pressure is said to be the lowest recorded by a LOW front in the entire US...Barometric readings were 28.20 to 28.3 That is a Huge low for a mercury reading.
Lynne and I boated 29 musky, in 6 days with 8 being in the 30lb class. Will ad a few pics once I get them downloaded. Lynnes fish a 48 3/4" .
Big pike are also hitting as we got 4 in the 20lb class, and many in the 15-18lb range.

| Back this week from 4 days at the cottage in Sioux Narrows. Spent two days fishing (this past Friday and Saturday). Unlike right now, it was warm and sunny.
Crossing the lake from Sioux Narrows to Big Narrows, water temps were in the 48F range. In Big Narrows, water temps were 51F - 52F.
Trolled Superman Jakes both days, 4hrs on Friday and 3hrs on Saturday, 3-4 mph. Two skis on Friday in the early afternoon and 1 ski on Saturday in mid-afternoon, all fish in the low-mid 40 inch range.
Wasn't a lot of traffic that we saw (in the vicinity of Big Narrows Lodge). |
