We would like to welcome Mike Bolinski as the new AIS Biologist in the southeast region replacing Dan Keller. Mike has a degree from the University of Wisconsin Steven's Point and has been working in the NRO for a couple of years. He will be starting his new duties on November 1. Stop by and congratulate him when you get a chance.

Paul W. Birdsey, Jr.
(ANS = Aquatic nuisance species - no nusiance like our Pointerpride)
Play with this little bit of info all you'd like. Ciao!

It's actually ANS, which is "Aquatic Nuisance Species"

In Northern Wisconsin, for example? Well, there are rusties, curlyleaf pondweed, the FIBs, and all sorts of other undesireables.

It's 'Aquatic Invasive Species'; my apologies, but when the program was initiated, it was Aquatic Nuisance Species, I guess the old name stuck with me better. Old guys are like that...

"Steven's" in Stevens Point is something that annoys me. Who the heck is Steven? Grrr....

Congrats Mike...I already told you that. Good luck finding a place to live down in BFE.
