I don't seem to get on too much here lately.....although I still remained fascinated with musky.  Managed to get out with Marc Thorpe about a 10 days ago.  Had some great smallmouth bass fishing too while in Montreal...but it rained like crazy most of the time.  In the 7 days I was there the Ottawa and St. Lawrence rose over 2 feet.....by the time I left all the water looked like a freaking Frapachinno mocha latte supremo....whatever, you get my drift.  Saw fish every day of 4 fished, definitely under non-ideal conditions.  Had 3 on, lost one at the boat and managed this beauty.  Just as I eased her out from under the boat, Marc had the net ready and the lure popped out of her mouth....ahhhhhh.  She hesitated for a moment or two and she bolted as Marc swiped at her...honestly didn't know what happened as I leaped from the bow to the back of the boat.  But I was greeted with a sheiteating grin from Marc and a netted big girl.  She was tagged and DNA collected, measured and weighed (in the cradle).  He allowed me a quick pic and she was back in the water....it was worth the wait....51+ inches and an even 38 lbs....a little piggie....
