Does anyone know where I could buy a tire for my boat trailer. I need a ST175/80R15. I have done some searches but could not find anything under $100.

I know they can be boughten cheaper from some where. I live in the twin cities area. So if anyone knows I would greatly thankfull. I am leaving on the 30th of this month for a 4 day fishing trip and I need to have a spare.

Hard to believe that one spends over $30,000 on a boat and trailer and they do not come with a spare!!! Never even thought of it when I bought my boat. If I would have thought of it I would made sure they threw it in on the package deal!!!

Thanks
Mike

Find a "Towmaster" Brand Dealer. I bought 2 new tires for my boat from a friend who owns/runs a car dealership. For the both was like $175.00 mounted including tax. I did have the rims, and I'm sure he gave me a "good" deal. Compared to what Ranger wanted. I got the both for almost the same price as one. Just as good as the "Good Year Marathons" - maybe better. Would do the same thing again.

Found a Towmaster dealer. The ties were not cheap at all. I told the guy I just wanted 1 tire not a set of 4!!!! He laughed at me. I have a Tandem trailer and he thought I was wanting to replace them all!!!!!

NOPE>>>>

Still looking for a cheaper spare tire!!!!!!!

Hiya,

have you checked with Discount tire at all? They will have a tire for you, but they may not have a rim.

I know for a tire and rim combination of any size 13" and larger, there will be a bit of a charge to it since it will be somewhere around a 6 inch wide rim, and as the size goes up, so does the $$ amount.

Another place to check would be northern tool in woodbury, Fleet Farm would have something as well.

A 175/80R15 seems a bit narrow for a 15" tire. sure it is not a 175/80R13?

Now have tire in hand. FYI Walmart has them for $75 and Menards have the same tire for $76.
