| Looking for opinions on whether braid color affects fishing. On one of my reels the braid has faded a lot. Almost looks whitish green at this point.
Do you think this would affect fishing? |

Location: VA | No! Matter of fact it will help IF the fising you are doing is with the fish looking UP and a light sky in the background. Now if the fish is looking down.....the jury is stilll out.
One tip....braid is only good for about 2 years of USE, once you use it, reverse it on your spool and you have new line again.

| For years we all used white Dacron and caught fish, I don't think line color matters one bit. |

| Fading is no issue...they all do it as the dye can't really get into the fibers it is a surface coating. Severe fraying or nicks mean trim or replace. also braid does not really deteriorate with time,,,only use. I have some line on lightly used rigs that is at least 7-8 years old that is as strong as day 1. |

DR what fish looks down to feed? never heard of that! most all fish can't look down because there eyes are on the top part of there heads. |

Location: Nekoosa, WI and South Padre Island, TX | Fish will look down to feed. I have caught muskies in shallower water while using a jig, and they ''tilted'' down, tail up, and sucked it off the bottom. Common? Probably not. But yes, they do look down, and will feed on prey that is below them. |

| Thanks for the input. I wasn't intially too worried about it, but some friends were talking about it and I thought I would get some opinions.
My experience is that fish are much more likely to "feed down" in shallow water, but pretty rarely in open / deep water.
