I'm sure it's been asked, and I tried the search, but it kept timing out, so I gotta ask...does anyone actually use the 12/0 Mustads I see for sale at Musky Shop? I'm all for big hooks, and I use the 10/0 on my big Medusas, but the 12/0 are just monstrous. Do they get used, or is there a niche use for them?

Smaller hooks = better hookups. I know a lot of guys who change out the 7/0 on most double 10s to 5/0. I put 7/0 on my tails but taht is what many want and expect. Just saying many of the guys I know that do very well musky fishing change those out to 5/0. Can't imagine getting a good hookup with a 12/0. Axe man muscles for setting the hook
