"Muskies Inc group boated 16 muskies yesterday. Guess they found the ones that like wind".
No they didn't . Where did you get that from?

Moved 4 this afternoon, missed one 4 foot class fish in shallow, and saw some just sitting in the weeds...going back after them this evening. Jerome, stop in and join us tomorrow evening if you end up fishing here, It'd be good to see you again.

I am absolutely amazed, M1st outings rarely invole the catching of muskies, and when they are caught, it's always Krishna ? Just too much fun going on I guess. I wish I could have been up there, nonetheless!!!!!

173+ anglers, 11 people caught one. Which means 6% of the Muskies Inc group boated a fish on Wednesday, and those are concentrated in a group of folks that include some of the best ever on that lake. Vermilion in August is tough sledding.

With that many boats on the West Arm, I wonder how many baits have passed over Merry Go Round at this point?

Steve and Crew,

I think I can speak for all of us sitting at desks this week when I say we appreciate your added efforts to give us great video, pictures, and stories to ease the pain of not being there. I know it would be much more fun for you guys to go out and fish vs editing video. If your goal is to make sure I plan my vacation around this event next year, you've done a great job!

The Big V was stingy, but showed everyone who fished muskies hard her potential several times as big girls followed, hit and were prematurely released, or were missed. Kim got her personal best this morning at 51 1/8"; Krishna got a 41 and won a custom MuskieFIRST 10th Anniversary hoodie, and a couple smaller fish were caught. Another guest in camp got a 44 this morning. The fact remains, any cast can offer up the Muskie of a lifetime!

The bluegills, pike and perch provided three large evening fish fries for 6 to 8 guests at the Worrall cabin, too. Not a soul complained....and OFM Radio Host Thomas Allen grilled some absolutely life changing venison.

Spring Bay, Steve and Joe, and the family outdid themselves again, offering superb hospitality, excellent food, great digs, and service beyond all expectations. They again gave away a week for two for the largest fish of the Outing, and fed us three nights out of the seven we were here.

Lax reproductions offered a reproduction for the largest fish, a HUGE prize. When added to the free week stay for two, the value is nearly $1500.00 for the prizes.

Thanks to everyone who offered lures and prizes for the dockside demos. Thanks especially to Okuma Fishing for a rod and reel and to Suick Lures, Muskie Armor, Glittertails, Custom Spinners Unlimited, MuskieFIRST Clothing, Spring Bay, Berkley, and Dutch Fork Customs for lures, clothing, and accessories.

We will be back, and the Vermilion muskies and extraordinary Spring Bay Resort hospitality will be waiting.

Any idea what those two who are dialed in are doing to make it so?

Those were some really good updates of the trip you provided. Looks like the fish started turning on after the cold front passed. I'm getting up there next Friday...can't hardly wait, it's going to be a long week of work.

Is the MuskieFirst group going to be in Spring Bay again in October as well?

I had a blast at the outing even thought the fishing was really tough this year. I cannot wait to get back there next year and try at it again. Congrats to the few that boated fish! Thanks to Spring Bay and M1.
