The Chesapeake Bay Foundation needs your help! Starting in September they will sign up peeps for a sand count that will continue through October. Due to the high rate of beach erosion in recent years peeps are needed to count all the grains of sand along the Va. eastern seaboard to place an accurate sand order after hurricane season . Qualifications are simple; one only needs to be able to count to 10, be able to transport a 5 gallon bucket 50 yards + in general have no life what so ever...so please, lend a hand. Lets not allow the homes of the filthy rich who pretend not to care about the rest of us slide into the Atlantic! Thanks for your concern..... [::)]
* In compliance w/ board rules, a MUSKY bait will be given away for the peep that has the highest grain count.....

Finally something I can do to give back to all the fine folks here at MuskieFirst for all they've done to help my little grandson, Ashton. I graduated from a Tech College and guarantee I can count to at least ten (eg. 1-3-2-4-8-9-6-7-5-10), see, I told you I could do it!!! And carrying five pound buckets of sand, I can do that real well. It's called being female, looking helpless and having a great set of gams. This works for all types of labor I find "Unsuitable" for myself (Tee-Hee). Usually only takes a minute and some male will make himself available to help me. Just thought my two cents was worth a good laugh here, considering that the Sponger wants us to saves the homes of the ultra-rich, without letting us poor people loot them first (they're loaded, they can buy more stuff!)!!!

Sincerely,
Gram Jo, Muskiegoddess, JO----[:halo:] [] [:)] [] [:praise:]

My Disclaimer: (This is a joke for everyone and anyone that might think I'm serious)

Great,my gardner has caught wind or this gloryous event. And now,if you would, please pencil in this party of two. Mumms the word.If the maid find out she will want to accompany us as well.Next thing you know I'll have to bring my whole staff. I'm not much worried about my chauffeur,as he rarely get his hands dirty.*******************************************If stunted bluegills played guitars,it would kill the rockbass.

I would like to volunteer Mr. Steve Worrall for this very important task. I'm sure the high tech computer experts on this website, can set up an automatic counting devise which could be mounted to Steve's glasses, and direct feed into a computer! Everywhere Steve looks would be scanned!
A less advanced model could be set up to count muskie follows while we fish!! []

So much for the month of "serious" only postings, Sponge.

Glad you couldn't make it. It would have been a truly boring month...[:knockout:]

During my canoe club (navy) days I watched local peeps along the banks of the red sea and the Tigress and Euphrates Rivers doing that tote the 5 gallon buckets of sand from the waters edge to over the distant sand dunes thing. Gave a whole new meaning to "dredging!"

muskie goddess,
Only if the rich buy some things from us at the auction tomorrow shall we help them![;)]
If not they can count the sand themselves...

A plea from the Govs.office is asking for anyone who has recently visited the states shore areas to please save the sand from shoes, clothing + the inside of your vehicles + send it back in a postage paid envelope...these can be obtained by phoning the State Tourism office. "Save The Sand" bumper stickers will be sent as a token of their appreciation...this is a serious post + should be treated as such![:sun:]

Mr. Van Lieshout,

I cannot, unfortunately, attend this incredibly important event. I would not be able to carry enough spare tires to get there.

Please accept my sincere apologies, sir.

You also, Sponger.

(Is that count, or pound? LOTS of people have told me to go do the latter.)

After careful consideration, I cannot help with the sand count. Not being filthy rich, I have holes in my shoes. I can see it now, me tracking that all important sand, getting it in my shoes and having to account for that. What if I cannot return all of it. Great, that's all I need more time in court. Thanks but no thanks spongebob!

Mr Worrall...we are fortunate to have trailer tire changing access ramps every 1.4 miles, complete w/ instructions, tools + a hand cleaning kit!
Depending on the response, a family plan has been suggested that rivals that of the Carnival Cruiseline packages. Also, in an effort to obtain an accurate count, a sifting + rinsing kit will be provided in case of the aforementioned gull discharge. A "Sand Saver" tattoo artist will be on premise for those who wish to display the dynamic crossed "Bucket + Shovel" on their arm or back, sure to attract the attention of all who view this work of art. For those like ToddM who have holes in their shoes, not to worry...sand repellant knee highs will be provided + a sand recycling center will take care of the rest. Hopefully this post will run its course today + finally be pulled for lack of content! [:0]

I've had no official word from esox69 as to his participation, but would also like to volunteer him for any shining up of the porto-potties out there also.

Sponge Bob: I know a bunch of Maryland girls in bikinis who would love to volunteer for this task. However, they all have tatoos and their navels pierced. On top of that, they all have tongue rings. Will you still take them? If so, I will be glad to supervise them.[]

Not so fast, Sponger. This post has raised quite a stir, both nationally and internationally. The neighbor kids just stopped by and told me that they would be willing to haul their sandbox, which by the way, they earned by an after school paper route,on a make shift trailer, pulled with their bicycles. They said they would be willing to risk life or limb to preserve this delicate chunk of high $ real estate even if it meant being shot for trespassing by the filthy rich. Then,I get a phone call from an old friend Umammas Bin Rotten from Pakistan. He said he would send a ship load of sand for just a single cup of dirt,in hopes that some day he could have a small garden in his back yard. I wept. Then Bobby Sandigger calls and says he has this sandstorm of an idea for a new line of designer clothing. This is crazy. See what you started?

Lol...blame it on the peeps that keep us off the beach...eventually they will have to give up fox hunting, mint juleps on the veranda, + lawn darts + get their meaty little hands dirty! I figure w/in another millinium they'll be living 200 miles inland from where they are now, so I'll just wait them out + jack up the price of real estate![:0]

WHOA, NOW WAIT A MINUTE SPONGESTER!! No giving up the fox hunting. Since I know you coat those yummy steaks in generous of House Autrey, and I now own 30% controlling interest of said company... Go get 'em!!

Gooder one Rob! You are right...I say we fence them in + charge them to come out...set up a toll booth etc...next thing you know they'll be building a moat![:(]

Spongy, fill the moat with skis[]

I like the moat idea, but not filling it with skis...[:knockout:]

Put skis in there and the peeps will be launching boats, inner tubes, crotch rockets, etc. and trolling silver dollars (flattened on the train tracks) trying for a world record and even more $$$$. I've contacted my wife's countryman, Steve Erwin (aka the Crock Hunter) and Stevo will be air freighting you some scaly creatures guaranteed to keep them filthy rich dudes and dudettes safely incarcerated, Spongy.

No need for thanks, happy to be able to assist fellow musky nuts, even those of a southern persuasion (you know south of that infamous line). Besides Steve said he was damn tired of that those things eating his lawnmowers and sneaking up on him everytime he tries to relax in his hammock anyway. One more point, Stevo volunteered that of all the food that he has offered them crocks, they prefer rich dudes and dudettes above all else...so you won't even have to worry about what to feed them!...[:0] [;)] []

Bet the crocks would enjoy all the lilly white paisley shirted calico skirted men/women...the sculptured poodles too! If Muskiekid sends down the bikinied youth, they could replace the crock snacks...we really do need our own tv show featuring the "Numb + Stupiders", a real life show that engages peeps in actual everyday situations; going to the bank getting a loan, making household repairs, driving vehicles under 50K, picnics instead of catering, eating tv dinners, etc... Now Spongester,
You know better than to feed a crock some nice fuzzy poodle. Us St. Croix people would be aghast to see a wonderful looking LIVE BAIT LURE go to waste on a crock and not a muskie.[] [] [:p] [;)]

I really do need to let this go...the silly laughter + giggling that comes from a group of wine filled air heads...the tinklng of fine crystal goblets as they gently touch, toasting their most recent finacial conquest...the look of horror on their faces as we holler over to them + ask if they can spare a sandwich...the gorgeous but silly daughters that would pretend to ignore us, yet peek through the dunes at us long haired surf freaks + longing for the freedom we had...ah the memories!!! Funny how we had it all + didn't realize until now! At any rate, I can't count so I'll leave it up to "them" to dig their way out of this one![:sun:]

Sponge, I have an idea. I called up the white house today to speak to the pres. Left a message, he will be down to declare that area a federal disaster. We get big funding to fix it and pocket the rest. What do yout hink?
