Last month I purchased a used calcutta 400 te on ebay. Unbelievable price 210 to my door shipped on a buy it now or best offer, the person accepted my offer and I used paypal. The person has a 100% rating I figured this was an awesome deal! A month goes by and three messages to the person and no responses. Finally almost a month later he gets back to me and his girlfriend sold both reels(he had 2) and he has no idea how to get money to me. he then told me he released funds from paypal but he did not. He's been apologetic the whole way. Now he wants to send me a cashiers check, needs my name and adress. Is he making good?

Todd, I am a PayPal pro. Call PayPal immediately. Also go to your invoice where you paid and turn it in as undelivered. It does not matter if he has the money or not, PayPal will get you your money back if he did not ship. You only have a limited amount of time so do it now.... Hope that helps. email me if you need more info. [email protected] Happy to help. FYI-You can also turn him in on eBay but I have found PayPal works faster even though they are the same company now... Don't fall for his check gag. If I am right he may be trying to get you to go past the PayPal time for you to turn in a claim against him.

Take a US Postal Money order. I don't know what your name and address will do, should have had that already.

Todd, "too good to be true"!!!

I agree with both above. He should have your name and address already when you purchased the item so it seems to be a stall tactic. Or maybe he is just not that good with paypal but they will guide him through it if you turn him in.

That sucks man, hopefully PayPal will refund your money...I deal with this a lot and always tell people if it seems too good to be true, it usually is and stay away from it and save yourself some problems.

Good luck,

Go through Pay Pal ASAP. The only protection you have. Ebay is the second avenue to use.

go thru PAY PAL. do not give him any more information than you already gave him. Sounds like a scam.
