I have an SLR 15 roller Shorelander trailer for my 16 ft single console Sylvan. Specs on the repair manual show the trailer came with 5.3 x 12 tires and that's what I've had in the past. I feel those smaller tires are bare minimum and they appear to ride that way, always bouncing and bulging, and I never trailer the boat with more weight than I need to. Just a note that the SLR 15A comes with 155/80R 13 tires. I just found some new mounted Towmaster 175 80R 13 radial tires that I want to put on this trailer. Am I making a mistake in doing so? Are they too big? I have an email in to Midwest Industries in Ida Grove, but haven't heard from them yet. Thanks for any help!

If the trailer fenders allow clearance, the trailer should handle them.
