Posts: 1767 Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | I would suggest fishing very hard....windows were unpredictable last week and you couldn't just selectively choose "prime times" as Eagle Lake fish have minds of their own. Most fish were seen on rocks with dark double 10's but a lot of rock spots were not producing the way I had expected for August. I would say Musky fishing was fair to slow, and walleye fishing was absolutely fantastic Edited by Musky Brian 8/9/2010 12:25 PM

Was up there a couple weeks ago, fishing was great, we seen well over 100 fish in 6 days, caught 11, hooked and lost 11 also. The colors we found that where the best was Fluorescent chartruese with chartruese blades, Ghosttails, series 100 and 200,the guide was saying black with fluorescent red blades, but we found the chartruese better. Who knows maybe if we would of stuck with the black we would of caught more. Hey it's musky fishin, don't try to figure it out, just go with it.

Posts: 1767 Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | Pretty sick numbers on the follows there Guest, what part of the lake were you fishing? I have fished in the boat with some of the best sticks on that lake and I can't recall ever seeing more then 15 fish or so in a day with 3-4 people tossing baits, and that's hardly the norm it is usually less....for whoever is going up you might want to keep your expectations a little more realistic then that.... We fished the osborn bay & niven side, we had 2 boats 4 guys fishing together for 6 days. We boated 7 the other boat had 4, I had 24 follows, my partner had 38 follows, the other boat had 21 & 29 follows. I think my partner had more follows because he stuck with the chartruese colors while I was trying other things. He also caught 5 out of the seven. Largest 48 1/2", was it a freak week, maybe. It's musky fishin go figure.

Posts: 122 Location: North Central Illinois | Sounds like we need to be trailering our boat east to Osborne next week! I would definitely throw chart/org/red the WHOLE TIME in that area! Edited by ILGreenhead 8/10/2010 9:56 PM
