| I currently have a Sling Blade with a Calcutta Conquest 400 and I was considering adding the Top-n-Tail to my rod arsenal. I pretty much use my Sling Blade for everything I throw except for jerkbaits ("The Jerk") and plastics (Soon to be on "Big Dawg").
What lures would the Top-n-Tail excel at that the Sling Blade doesn't? Is it worth it to have both rods, or am I not missing out by not having a MH rod? |

| The Top N Tail is a great light bucktail rod and of course amazing for topwater. I use mine alot for topwater applications and love it. The rod really throws those topwaters a mile and gives the lures great action with ease. Pair it with a curado 300e and you will be very happy.

Location: Smith Creek | I use it for Mepps marabous, #8 flashers, baby depthraiders, anything that won't load up the sling blade. |

| I have a Top-N-Tail as well with a Curado 300 DSV great rod for smaller types of bucktails and can even toss double 9's but works best with top water and small doubles. I use it with double 10's and a Satist 20 now becasue i do not have something just for 10's and it does an OK job just figure 8's with 10's is a bit of work but thats all i have so it works for me |

| I have both rods and the "top n tail" definitely excels at loading on double 9's, 8's and lighter topwaters when casting. It's a very versatile rod, that I probably use more than any other I have. The Sling Blade, however, definitely has it's place.....I use it mainly for double 10's, mag bull dawgs, and larger gliders. |
