Anyone headed up to the TFF might want to call ahead, there was a pretty bad storm up there last night with a lot of wind damage and trees down. I was told by one of the state park guys that getting to the sprinstead landing is almost impossable and that they still haven't gotten to all the campsites to check on the campers. They have transported 6 injured campers. So far the most serious was a broken leg. I haven't seen any damage first hand this is just what the ranger called and told me to tell our customers at the store.

Just got another call Springstead, Fishermans, and Murrys landings closed until further notice. Please stay away until rescue and clean up is finished.

John, thanks for the updates. I don't fish the TFF, but was possibly thinking about going up there this weekend with the girlfriend. Probably will just stay away from now. Thanks again for passing on the info for not only your customers but all of us here on M1st.

I just talked to one of the Rangers again, he said all campsites on the TFF are closed so even if you get on the water at one of the north landings you won't be able to camp. Reports are that many of the areas of the Flowage have so many trees down that rescue workers can't even get to all of the campsites yet to see if anyone needs help. Only 8 injured so far.

John, I was out this morning and yes, it is very bad. Some of the side roads don't even look like roads at all. Lines down everywhere, widowmakers by the thosands, not a very safe place to be for sure.

John, I think one of our fishing buddys is up there clearing and working on the power lines. He got called in the other nite and hasn't been home yet. Let's keep all those guys in our thoughts and let them have a tight line with a muskie.

Boats got into springstead landing late today, so I guess that landing is open. The county campground is open but the island camping will be close for a while.

Frank, Mark's boss cut his Canada trip short and one of his co workers delayed his Canada trip a few days.

John, Maybe you and I ought to slip up into their slots, it would be a shame to let that fine fishing go to waste, ha ! I just want to give those guys credit. Most of us don't think of them till the lights out in the fridge and the beer is warm and then we mumble a lot and cuss at the dog. That's a lot of downed timber up there to carve muskie baits !
