| Will be trying to win the Rollie & Helen's Muskie tournament. Long shot I know, But what the heck, I may be proof that even a blind Squirrel finds an acorn once in a while. For all of you Western WI guys good luck and good fishing in the Indianhead State Championship on Deer & Bone this weekend. I have been told by a very reliable source tha it will take 3 fish on each lake to win. Maybe 4 on one and two on the other but 6 fish for sure. Sounds like old times to me. Good luck everyone. |

| I'm heading out to my place on the west side of the state. Got lots of weeds to cut and things to do so the realtor can start showing it. Looks like my hunting days are coming to an end.
Anybody looking for a prime piece of bow hunting land? I have 50 acres on the end of a dead end road. See Pope and Young bucks every year and have even managed to kill a couple of 'em. And it's only 15 minutes from the Mississippi River.....no muskies in the freakin' thing!

| No muskies are moving for me around here at the current time, so I'm going to try to get some sorta-big home jobs done this weekend. I need all my big projects complete by mid-September so I'm free to fish our best season of the year, the fall.
Jason, you need to help pack/unpack in between changing all those diapers. You're not going anywhere so stop teasing yourself. (I'm still waiting for delivery of your boat, by the way.) |

| Come over to Leech, the fishing has been fantastic this season. After a slow start the fish have really turned on. They are in the weeds and on the rocks. Raised a monster fish yesterday, mid 50 inch fish. Had a follow of a 40 inch fish and tossed the bucktail in the direction the fish drifted away. Saw a tan object behind the bait and thought it was the smaller fish, but she kept coming and coming, ran out of room and started jigging the bait. She made a move on the bait but wouldn't eat it. She swam right past the boat, what a fish.
Anchored a cast length a way from the area and waited. Really windy and didn't want to spook the fish with constant use of trolling motor. Well you guessed it, never saw her again. Went back several times during the day including night fall, but no cigar. The area is a beautiful cabbage weed bed that has a 13 foot weed line. The break falls into 50 feet of water, she was probably just moving a long the break. You know where I'll be this week end.

| LOTW, Sabaskong Bay Lodge for a week. 3rd trip this year, maybe finally one of those 48+ beauties that I have come across the other 2 trips will stay HOOKED!!!

| I have vacation time coming up, what should I do? I believe I will fish with the kids on the weekend and my partner Mon and Tue. Wednesday I have finaly my second byopsy and then I fish by myself Thur to Sun for my b-day present. Going to give me a 50 incher or two. [:p] |

| The gang from Twin Cities and North Metro chapters are headed up to Sabaskong Bay at Red Wing Lodge for our yearly outing. A full week in God's country! Some of the regulars on the boards who are going are; myself, Happy Hooker, Teck, Muskie Diver. There are others but I'm not sure who all is going and if all of them post to the boards.
So we should have a great time with a bunch of fish caught. I don't remember the exact number of fish boated last year, but we seem to average between 40 and 50 fish for the week. This is with about,I'm guessing, 30 or so people fishing. If I remember correctly the largest fish last year was 51 inches. Me? What about Me,you ask? What did I put in the boat? 0 was my total, I had 2 eat and lost both, with more follows than I could count includeing 1 fish that I estimate was WELL over 50 inches. Better luck this year.
So that's my weekend plans. |

| Friday night I have a wedding to attend in Fondy. Saturday, I don't know, yet. Wife works, and I may have a massive hangover![:bigsmile:] Sunday, I'd like to get out somewhere.
Then next week the wife starts her seven on, to switch ends of the week. After that, I'll have weekends open til the end of the season. Wooo-hooo! Road trip time!
Jason, if you need a first mate for the big pond Sunday, I'll volunteer![:p]
