Hey,
Looking for some info on Boot Lake in Iron county, just south of TFF. Planning a trip for the end of August. Will be there with my girlfriend and she's trying to get her first fish. Never been there and can't find anything about the lake online so any info to get us started off would help out alot.
-spots to try?
-what structure to target?
-lures?
-shallow or deep?
-multispecies? ( in case gf needs a break from casting lol)

Hopefully some of you guys have fished here and can help out, pm or respond here.

Thanks,
steve

Fished it once about 15 years ago. Lake's only about 100 acres. Only remember throwing topwater and having a few swing and misses. Judging by the pics on the wall at the resort there, must be numbers lake since fish are generally smaller and it appears as if they were not released.

Are you staying at the Birches Lodge? The only landing on the lake is at the Birches-- otherwise restricted access. If your at the Birches and get on the lake, it won't take you long to figure it out. Boot is a fun lake to fish.
