| I need to know for sure who will and who will not participate in the Cass Lake meal planning deal. Look to the Outings Page for the details on the plan so far, and please let me know if you want to join in the deal. At this point you don't have to cook or clean as we have teams signed up for all but one of the nights. And we don't have to do this every night, anyway. If you don't cook or clean it's only fair to flip the cooks some bucks to help cover the cost of the food. You'll see that we're not tight-assed about being on time or even showing up for meals - we understand that you'll stay fishing if the fishing is hot - and you can get leftovers when you roll into camp. I think we'll also need a couple folks to help catch the walleye for Mikie's fish fry; everybody knows Mikie himself will limit out on the walleye, but his stringer won't be enough to feed all the participants. We'll need to nail this down soon. Please post your responses to the outings page under the "Meal Planning" thread. Be sure to tell me if you've decided to not participate. Thank-q.[:)] | |||

| Ranger... I think it's a pretty cool deal that you "cooked up" there... I am unsure of my arrival and departure to the event so let me say this... I will help with cooking or washing dishes or whatever I can help with should I partake in the festivities..and of course I will pitch in a few $$$ I just don't want to commit to an evening or meal if I'm not sure when I'm going to be there... See ya there,,,should be a great time. Mark | |||

| I thought everyone in the cabin was to be incharge of one breakfest and one supper on a certain day during the week. That way you only have to cook and clean twice during the week while the others go pound the water. We do this in Canada and it works great. You pick your days and cook wednesday morning and maybe friday evening or so. But if we are doing family style...this take more organization. Either way works for me....just be remember I can eat a hog and ask for seconds. LOL[] | |||

| Hi Jason, The feedback I've received so far suggests that folks want only one organized group meal per day, and they want it to be provided mid-day. Morning and evening eats are left to individuals and/or cabins. I've really only heard from a small percentage of total outing participants, so I'm assuming what I'm hearing is the consensus of the folks who want to participate in the meal deal. I personnally have no strong preferences, except to save money, eat well, and share the work. Rick | |||

| And Mark, We're as flexible as Gumby. We just need to know who might be interested so we can make enough food. Last minute sign-ups are ok, too. Hope you can join in. Rick | |||

| Once upon a time on a farm a chicken woke up at daybreak + said..."my, what a beautiful day...think I'll bake some bread!" The little red hen began waking up the little ducks, the little pea fowls + the little pigs. "Today is a great day to bake some bread" said the little red hen..."now who will help me?" "Not I" said the little ducks as they waddled toward the pond..."not I" said the little pea fowl as they started scratching in the barn yard..."not I" said the little pigs as they wallowed in the mud...so the little red hen said "well fine, I'll bake it myself!" So while the other critters played, the little red hen set about getting ready to bake the bread; she ground the wheat, added some water + sodium glutymate, kneaded the dough + then set it in the window sill to rise. While waiting she cleaned out the barn + did various other chores...by midday the bread was ready to stuff in the hot oven to bake..... Late that afternoon the little ducks, the little pea fowl + the little pigs wandered into the barn yard, hot, tired + daggone HUNGRY! As they neared the porch they exclaimed in unison..."daggone dude, that sure smells good!!!!" About that time the little red hen stepped out on the porch + said "And now, who will help me EAT this bread?" "I will I will" said the little barn yard folk...but alas...it was too late![:blackeye:]The little red hen said "sorry...I think I'll eat it myself!!!" And she did.... * Now picture if you will Ranger as the little red hen, + the rest of you guys as the barn yard critters... MORAL:Let him know WHAAAZZZZZZUUUPPPP![;)] | |||

| Ranger; I will be there Thurs/Fri for sure so feel free to sign me up to help. Just let me know what I need to bring. email to me [email protected] Thanks | |||

| Do we have a grill available? If so I'll put on a salmon feed to die for for one meal. I just need a partner in crime to take care of the fixings. I'm planning on coming up Wed sometime so Thurs-Sat works for me. Keep me in the loop. -Treats | |||

| Ranger, DaveJ and I will be arriving sometime Thursday morning, along with Mike's Extreme, who will hauling Mark H. along with him. We're gonna convoy out there, and I believe will be bunking together also. That said, I'm in for whatever, on Thursday thru Saturday. Just let me know what I need to bring. I will be bringing up some of Sponge's favorite Venison Garlic Summer Sausage. Probably enough for each set of roomies to have whole stick. I will try to send it up earlier with somebody. Hear that Spongey? Venison Summer! Come to the Cass, and you can have it all! Tight lines, Shep[:sun:] | |||

| That daggone stuff took me mates at work by storm....I just hope they don't find out I didn't make it![;)] Wish there was someway but I had a previous "freezer stuffer" trip planned to Carolina but each day brings a new hope of something screwing up, + it's nigh high time I got a BREAK!![:0] [:sun:] | |||

| Treats: let's put your fish together with mine for Thursday. I'm bringing a cast iron skillet, peanut oil, corn meal, etc. for the walleye. Cooking fish for 30 will be quite a feat, anyway, so if we get your stuff on the broiler and mine on the stovetop it should go better. Dang, I've got my belly growling just thinking of it! m[] | |||

| mikie, Do you know if we've got access to a grill? It turns out sooooo much better when grilled. I'll hit-up Cady with that question as well. Actually, teaming up will help me a bunch since I'm not sure my freezer has enough salmon for 30. Email me a little closer and we'll put together a list. -Treats | |||

| Anybody(LandyR?) from or going thru the Milwaukee area for the whole week at Cass want to take up a cooler of Venison Summer Sausage? Probably about 10 - 15 sticks. Unless the Spongey One is coming. Then I'll up it to 20 or so![] Let me know. Tight Lines, Shep[:sun:] | |||

| RANGER--> look for a small package soon! I got to thinking there might not be enough warm stuff so I whipped up a batch of cajun rub/spice in the kitchen this morning for you to take. Have everyone eat a handful of bird seed + drink a glass of water an hour before meal time...they won't eat as much + the food will go farther![:0] ***Shep, if I were to come you'd need to bring a factory rep. w/ you![;)] | |||
