Location: APPLETON, WI | A buddy of mine is driving over from Mpls. to hang out for a couple of days in September. He suggested we hit a musky lake in Northern Wisconsin. Need suggestions for a solid Class-A lake providing numbers and the occasional trophy, if possible. Would also like nearby [inexpensive] lodging on or very close to the lake we're fishing.
One lake. Overnight trip. Go.
Suggestions?
Feel free to shoot me a PM if you'd rather not post it up here. I understand. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | head up here to Rhinelander. There's plenty of opportunities meeting your needs, and plenty of inexpensive lodging options. I could mark a map for you on a few of them if you like. |

Location: Northern Wisconsin | Never been there but North Twin lake sounds good.

Could also check out the Chippewa Flowage, Indian Trails has a cheap bunk house that would be good for a night.
