Location: Suburban Chicago | What's the right hoop size for most muskie & pike fishing? Looking for recommendations on a good net, a tangle free one that hooks don't get stuck in. My everyday net is a 20x24 Stowmaster. I want one decent big net for bigger fish. Doesn't need to be the BIGGEST net, just the right size for most 40"+ sized fish.
Been looking at Frabill Power Catch, Frabill Conservation Series, the big Stowaway, the Beckman Husky Musky/King Salmon/Chinook, etc...

Location: SE Wisconsin | I agree with the Powercatch... I have the Big Kahuna and it's just too darn big - and while you'd think the bigger bag would help scoop a fish, their so heavy to drag through the water, it can be clumsy. That said, I still use it, but the Powercatch is where it's at. |
