HI,
I was wondering if anyone could recommend or list any guides that you may know of in the U.P. I will be vacationing there next week and was hoping to maybe get out for a day. Any information on guides, specific lakes or information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kly[]

The yoop is a big place. Where are you going to be?

Many places in the UP. On the east there is one guide for the Munsocong lake. Then Taqunamen falls, then you Lake Mighigamme. Do you have any idea when and where you will be?

HI,
It looks like I will be there this Mon. and Tues. I am going to try and get in the southern or western area to fish. If you could list any guides or info in that area that would be greatly appreciated as well. please list some contact info if referring a guide, so I will be able to get into contact with them asap.
Thanks
Kly

Try contacting "Northwoods Wilderness Outfitters" (there's a website) for guides in the southwestern yoop. Also, I think there's a regular on this board, "7 Islands Guide Service" out of Northeastern WI who may be able to help you. You can also e-mail me at "[email protected]" for a list of lakes I would recommend trying. Last, if you are going to be in the eastern part of the yoop, I would certainly recommend the Tauquamanon river for LOTS of action, especially in the run area of the "Toonerville Trolly".

The Seven Islands Guide Service (Presque Isle, WI) is offered by HC Meyer and his MF board name is "7Islands". A very good place to start, I think. He helped me on a recent trip to the way-west UP.

Not sure what area you are heading to but Mike Mladenik guides the UP also. Good luck.[:)]
