I've used the smaller Viper for years with great results. One of the easiest lures I've used to get the walking action. I haven't used the larger version yet, but did see it in a tank at the Chicago show a couple years ago and liked the way it sta in the water. I don't think you could go wrong with either one.

Posts: 1030 Location: APPLETON, WI | I actually have a couple of 8" Phantom Vipers and I can't say enough good things about them. They're as easy to cast as a Weagle, they've got as much action as a Weagle (in fact, I'd go out on a limb to say they even have more "belly roll" than a Weagle)... they're also just as easy to work as a Weagle. They're basically my go-to WTD bait. Oh, and they're considerably less expensive, too.

Posts: 12 | I love the Viper. Been using them for over 10 years. I didn't think they could improve on the original but the 8" Viper rocks! Easy to use and boy does it move some water. They also have the 8" in a softail version and it looks HOT in the water. best walk-the -dog topwater I have ever used! Duane www.illinoismuskies.com

my go to wtd for years, very versatile because you can also use them as a glidebait. not a noisy lure like a satisfier but that thing have no speed limit.
