Location: syracuse indiana | well i have 2 the big kahuna and the power scoop kwik kradle the kahuna is hard and big to use with putting a fish in the bag one handed. it can be done though. now the kwik kradle was designed by pete maina for the reason of someone fishing alone. you can lay the net on the gunnel and guide the fish into the bag with very little effort. they do run the same price . and i love them both but the kwik kradle is the one i would highly suggest for being alone....bill |

| I also have the next size down from the Big Kahuna, I just boated my first solo musky with it this weekend, and it was fairly easy with this net. |

| I also have a big Frabil assuming the same one as you guys and I put 90 % of my muskies in it alone Just have it ready and laying out the back side of which other side of the boat im fishing out of. Works pretty good you actually get use to it after a while. |

Location: Bemidji, Lake Vermilion | When fishing alone/netting a fish, one trick is to keep the bag of the net out of the water by hooking it on a finger (somewhere near the bottom of the bag) which leaves you enough free net to make sure the fish is going to squarely get into the hoop, and then just drop the bag with your finger. If/when you have a fish you think is ready and suddenly decides its not, you can move/recover much faster without a monster bag dragging in the water when you don't want it to. I have one size under the Kahuna and can handle it fine by myself this way, have put multiple over 50's in it by myself with no issues or lost fish due to a botch job on the net. |

Location: Hayward, WI | I also have a Frabill that's one size smaller than the Big Kahuna. It works well for me. I practiced netting something fairly long, like a stick to get the feel of it before I netted muskies with it. So far I haven't had any problems with netting fish alone with that net.

| I fish a majority of my time alone and use a mid-sized beckman and have netted 3 over 50 by myself. I would suggest not to get the biggest net, but would also suggest that it is more about practice than it is about what net you have. Give it some dry runs and then when you get one on, remember to take your time and keep the net in your strong hand - for example, I am a right hander, so I find it easier to use that hand to hold the net and direct the fish with my non-dominant hand. It might not be pretty, but you will get better after every fish you get in the boat.

Location: Kodiak, AK | I fish alone 99.9% of the time and have the Power Catch Big Game (below the Kahuna) and it's a perfect size. I originally had the other Frabil model, the one with the round handle and the handle bent the first time out, so I've swapped to the Power Catch model and it's just a better net.
