Subject: Windshields





Location: Des Moines IA		I washed and waxed the Tuffy today, but would really like to clean up the scratched windshield. Anybody know any tricks?

Get a hold of some Novus products.. They have a series of numbered products based on need. At least they did a few years ago.

Nice job. Your boat looks great.

I recently purchased a 10-year old Ranger. The spidering within each windshield could not be removed so I purchased two brand new ones. Cost was about $125 each. I will probably replace the old ones after I've had the carpeting replaced this winter.

Still have it. Runs great. Not quite as pretty as it used to be, but oh well. I just like having a lake chauffeur

Back on topic. I second the novus products. For minor fine scratches they have 2 levels of liquid scratch removers and the a liquid polish. For scratches with some depth to them they have a sanding kit. 20 grade levels of "paper" and then follow up with the liquids to get a like new finish. I used to use it all the time when I was restoring and installing acrylic aquariums. The stuff works.

Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan!		I had good luck with Flitz polish.
