| How many of you guys use these?
I really don't like the thought of using a glove, but last year on LOTW my hands got some real nasty gill raker cuts and made the last few days of fishing a pain.
Are these gloves just like batting gloves and/or golf gloves or are they made of a different material that isn't as slippery when they get wet?

Location: Racine, Wi | Not sure what they are made of, but I've used them now for the past 2 or 3 seasons, and LOVE them. Have not gotten cut up by any fish while using them, so it's a nice change of pace. They aren't slippery at all, and you can get a good hold on the fish without worrying about getting ripped up by the rakers if they shake when you're grabing them. Definitely pick a pair up (or at least one). |

+1 - The musky armor gloves are nice for gill rakers but won't protect against teeth or hooks. Baseball batting gloves will work just as well as the musky armor gloves, but I just use the lindy gloves for unhooking and holding as they are very flexible now and will protect your hands against any sort of cut. The worst thing in the world is to have a day, or week trip, cut short because one injured his or her hand and can't fish anymore. |

Why people continue to handle musky and pike without gloves, is just plain ignorance. Why jeporadize your wellbeing. Use gloves!!!  |
