i'll second that...the whole lineup of Black River Rods has been good.

http://www.blackriverrods.com/

the Live/Troll has the backbone you need for good hooksets when sucker fishing while still having enough forgiveness in the tip for reading trolling lures and boatside headshakes. as a composite glass/graphite rod, it's ideal for the cold, too.

and lots of cool pics here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=6207&id=109797912389669

i like using the mega rod from tackle industries or the 8ft monster mag from musky innovations they both really jack a fish

imo I'd go with a composite graphite/glass blend over graphite....I'm just leary of 100% graphite when it gets sub freezing...they break..less of a chance with a composite
the Musky Innovations trolling/livebait rods have some beef to bury the hooks...

Black River rods are hard to beat. Their live and troll rod is the best I've used for suckers, and for trolling too.

I would go with the Tooth Tamer fiberglass trolling rod. I have been using these for 2 seasons now and love them. Great back bone for hard hook sets. Check out there website at http://www.toothtamerrods.com
