Hey you guys out there that are fishing weagles exclusively I got a question? I've had two fish this week blow up off the back of the bait never felt them they just came up and rolled behind it. Now I could understand if I was working the bait fast but both rolls came on really long pauses of about 15 seconds. then as soon as I started to move the bait again the fish would boil behind it. I don't feel that their is much I can do but was wondering if you guys get that alot as well. ZThe one fish was about a 4 footer that came boat side on a 10 all the way into the first turn of the 8. throw a weagle back and she blew up on it. Anyways just looking for some insight Thanks.

Blow ups, boils, near misses, pushing water behind the bait... It happens. I've had them shoot out of the water with their mouths open a foot behind the lure without even coming close to it.

They miss sometimes. As long as you aren't setting the hook and taking it away from them when they blow up on the bait there's not much you can do.

We went through a streak the past few days where we had 5 fish miss or just blow up on weagles before we finally got one to eat good. . They were just being a little goofy for some reason. Usually working the "death march", really hard snaps and working really slowly with long pauses gets them to eat, other times, you need to speed them up when going slow doesn't work. Lots of tricks with the weagle, but sometimes, the fish just want to be funky. I'd keep working that area though if you didn't stick her.
