I'm starting to look to upgrade my outboard and was hoping to get some suggestions as to where to find reasonable deals. I'm in the Grand Rapids MN area but willing to travel some for the right price. Searching for a 115-150hp motor with EFI or DI.

Any suggestions area appreciated, thanks.

There's a new 08 115 opti at staples sports just south of motley. I'm not sure what they want for it but I'd guess you could get a deal since it's new and 2 years old

Thanks Bassin'. I shot them an email requesting a quote. I hope they can do better than the one place I tried locally which were considerably higher than what I've seen online.

I have another question for anyone. What is the differences between the Pro XS and regular Optimax?

I would assume it's a tighter wound engine like the big ones. It's there "race" engine. I'm pretty sure they run higher toms too.
There's also some on the big e

I work with a Harvard graduate engineer who rebuilds outboards as a side busniess. He was also a powerboat racer for over a decade until a crash ended his career. I can look to see if he has anything that meets your requirements. he knows his stuff.
