| I'm going to the pike-round chain in early June to fish for muskies, northern pike, tigers (hybrids) and smallmouth bass. I've never been to these lakes before and could use some tips, suggestions or any information that could help us.... Also, I heard some of the lakes up there are low, will that effect our fishing?
Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, -Bill
PS. We always release all the fish we catch (even walleyes) unharmed to fight again one day. CPR

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | I have fished there a few times....A few of the lakes ( Amik and Turner) are very shallow and very weedy, a good chunk of Amik is almost unfishable but boy did I see a brute back there once...Round Lake also has a big chunk of shallow weedy areas, Pike Lake has a lot more depth and rock related structure. When traveling to and from Pike and Round make sure you TRIM UP on the Round lake side, there are rocks to be hit in the channel |

Location: Smith Creek | Pike has the best walleye fishing, for muskies Turner probably has the best numbers. Amik has a ton of pike and a few big walleyes and muskies. The water level on that chain doesn't drop much, you should be ok.
