| Anybody know how this tourney went today? Heard the big P was spitting out some darn nice fish last week/weekend.

| Talked with the winners leaving the ramp and they said they had caught a 38.25 and a 40 and were off the lake by 8:00 AM, one said he actually went home and cut his lawn. I had 6 fish up close and personal into figure eights but could not buy a bite. Didn't fish Sunday on Okauchee but heard NO FISH were caught there. I did see a near-50 fish that gave me just a bit of a heart attack. Marty Forman |

Location: SE Wisconsin | 180 degree difference in the wind changed everything Koepp and I had patterned. On Friday morning, we each took off to pre-fish and doubled by 7 am with a 38 and a 43.75". West winds ripping down the length of the lake on Thursday and Friday showed us a pattern that just wouldn't hold up after dead flat calm conditions set in over night. With 8 fish up and a 34" on the board by 10:45, we worked feverishly to draw up that double, but after numerous opportunities, we just couldn't seal the deal. Saw a few 4 footers and many over 40 - was a fun day to be on the water.
Tom McGinnis said at one point, 8 fish were being registered at once - now that's a hell of a window! |
