I have been doing pretty good fishing with the X-Rap this year. The problem I am having is that when I rip the lure at the begining of the retrieve the front hook sometimes wraps on the leader. I cut one of the hooks off of the front treble and that seemed to help only I don't know if that is going to have a negitive effect on my hook ups? Maybe I'm ripping the lure to hard?

Thanks for any help,
Tony

I would say if it's producing fish you're not ripping it too hard. Try getting the line tight before it lands. If it all lands in a clump it would be more likely to loop around the hook.

I havent really noticed that happening with a fluoro leader on. What type of leader are you using?
