OK, going to break down and get into the 9' class of rods. Noticed that Thorne has the 9' Musky Mayhem AVAIO's. No information on action or lure weight.

Any opinions on these? Suitable for Double C's and Super Models? What about with Bulldogs?

Any other rods of that length I should be considering?

Thanks for any feedback.

I have heard good reports from these rods, but for the price they better be! The only information that I have read is the MH will throw anything up to mag size bulldawgs and the Heavy is for throwing up too pounders. I would assume they have fast actions?? I would think either model would be good for blades, depends if you like a stiffer or softer tip. Also consider what you all plan on throwing with the rod.

As far as other rods, tackle industries has a 8'6"/9', great rod for the price. Thorne bros. makes awesome 9'rs.

I have the 9' Hvy and it is a great rod, very comparable to my predator. It works well with big baits like super models, pounders and is very light. Here are the specs on the rods, I got this info directly from Brad.

8’6” - Medium Heavy Action - lure weight of 2 - 10 ounces - rod weight 9.34 ounces
9’ - Heavy Action - lure weight of 8 - 18 ounces - rod weight 11.0 ounces
