Is there anyone on this board that fishes muskies on the St Louis River or knows of somebody that does?
The river is supposed to have a good population of muskies, but I can't seem to find them now that I want to. Well over 10,000 casts and counting.

I have some friends that fish it primarily in June. They troll for walleyes and have gotten some nice muskies. The bait of choice is a Shad Rap.You may want to try the larger version trolling for muskies.Make sure to make contact with the bottom,I think that's thier secret.Don't feel bad about not getting any action,I can't even get a follow!Good Luck,Paul

I know about finding muskies up till at least the first of July. I cast craks in the shallow bays all thru June and the muskies are always eating my walleye lures. I tried up sizing in the same type of lure, but the fish don't seem to be in the same places, or any other places for that matter.
This has been an odd year anyway, even the northerns aren't where they should be and the river is still full of decent walleyes.
