Subject: Editing waypoints in a Lowrance network

I am running 2 LCX 27c's and when I hit a waypoint icon on one unit it shows up on the other (ie 001 and 001). However, once I edit that way point (like give it a name), the name shows up on the unit I edited from but the number (001) stays on the other unit. Is this how it is supposed to work or should the newly edited name show up on both units after editing it on the one?
Thanks in advance for you help.

I called Lowrance to find out how to properly hook up 2 units via the Ethernet cable. During this discussion they actually said that the units will share waypoints but as far as editing them you would have to edit each one separately. I have not tried to edit mine as of yet but since they told me this is how it's supposed to work & yours is operating just like they said your units seems to be just fine.

Guest,
Thanks for the info.
I was told the same by someone else. I guess the new hds models have a "sync" option so if you edit on one you can sync them so the the edit shows up on the other.
With my current set up, a good way to keep the waypoints the same name/symbol on both units is to only edit on one unit then at the end of the day save them then delete the waypoints on the other unit then upload the saved waypoints to that unit.
