Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | For those who want to touch and see my rods I just got the confirmation they will be in the Kevin Cochran Musky Fishing Guide booth. $110/rod no matter which rod you want. My website says I am out of the 9'XH but I do have a few left and Kevin will have some in his booth along with all of the other lengths and powers. Hope you like them! If you can not get to the show let me know and I will get you one delivered for $110. [email protected] James

Posts: 17 Location: Waconia, MN | Good stuff James. Guys, if you are in the market for a new rod I strongly suggest checking out the Tackle Industries rods. I just received mine from James last week and it is a phenomenal rod. It has a thicker handle which is a lot more comfortable than other rods I have used, and it also comes with 2 handle lengths which is another great feature. Plus James is a great guy to deal with! Check them out, you won't be disappointed. Edited by Eric Wolf 4/5/2010 9:22 PM

Posts: 76 Location: Kentucky | I second what Eric said. I picked up the 1-6oz rod about 3 weeks back and had my first chance to use it this past weekend. It is exactly what I was after and the wide grip handle is extremely comfortable. Thanks for a great product and incredibly fast shipping. Edited by itallushrt 4/5/2010 9:48 PM

Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | Thanks shaley! That is the whole reason why I did not patent the method/materials I had the blanks made! I don't want anyone to know what I did James

Posts: 1030 Location: APPLETON, WI | +1 Another positive comment for James and his Tackle Industries rods. I bought two of them from him in the last month and they're amazing. I've been practicing with them for the last couple of weeks now and they're great. Very lightweight... well balanced... and paired up with my Revo Toros, I can't think of any other combo in this price range I'd rather be using.

Posts: 83 | How does the XH handle throwing "Pounders"? I would consider the MegaHeavy, but would guess it would be too much of a niche setup - tough to justify if that is the case. I usually throw MagDawg sized swim baits, but also throw pounders depending on the lake/time of year. Thanks

I did pick up some shallow ponders to use on my XH this year.

Posts: 9 | Guys, I have to agree with what Eric, itallushrt & Shaley have relayed. I purchased lures from him last year and this year purchased the 8.5'/9' XH. It is as well built a rod as those that cost much more. Great attention to detail James.

Posts: 83 | Picked up an XH at the show today - very impressed with the rod for the money. Light, not tip heavy for the length, balanced very nicely with a Calcutta reel. Tough to to wrong at $110, sick price for this rod. Haven't casted anything with it yet, but based on the reviews I'm sure I'll be very happy. Purchased the rod Kevin Cochran - he was very helpful. Thanks all for the helpful advice!
