Posts: 774 Location: South East Wisconsin | How many are running amsoil? If so are you using a 100:1? I bought a boat and the gentlemen was using saber from Amsoil. Is Amsoil 100:1 okay to run in a two cycle motor?

Posts: 574 | It says (the saber) not recommended for outboards on their website. That said I did use a gallon when I got stuck with it once. I ran it 50-1 though. The HP injector is the kind of Amsoil you want .. Seems to smoke less run a little smoother etc with Ams vs the Manufacturers oil

Posts: 4080 Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | I use the 50:1 Amsoil Syntec in my 200 V Max, and it works great. I don't think you want to use 100:1 oil for injection on any boat motor. Jerome

Posts: 774 Location: South East Wisconsin | There are two kinds of Saber. One that is professional, and one that is for outboards. Their web page says it's susspose to be pretty good. Just wanted to see what others thought.

Posts: 3508 Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Agreed!! The oil injection systems adjust the amount of oil needed as compared to the usage of the motor. So...staying with something like HP injector which is a direct replacement of stock 2 stroke oil for outboards is the way to go. Very little smoke, and plugs stay nice and clean!! To get the best price, find an independent dealer in your area that sells amsoil. Usually cheaper through them than in the stores. Steve

Posts: 774 Location: South East Wisconsin | I should mention that it's oil/gas pre mix.

Posts: 574 | Weird, I had the saber pro, never saw the outboard stuff.. I'd still be weary of mixing 100-1

Posts: 1756 Location: Mt. Zion, IL | I like it enough that Amsoil is the only oil any vehicle/boat fluid gets. I will never run conventional oil of any sort other than for break in. Engine starts 1st pull when air temps are over 50 degrees......EVERY TIME. Along with no fouled plugs, no carb problems, and virtually no smoke, (and I troll A LOT), I get piece of mind and a great product......for about 60 bucks a case (12 bottles that have enough for 6 gal. each).

Posts: 774 Location: South East Wisconsin | Is that for quart size bottles? I've heard that it's susspose to do everything that you had mentioned. I'm looking to troll alot as well. I'll stick with it and see how it goes. Thanks...

Posts: 1756 Location: Mt. Zion, IL | They are not quarts, I believe they are actually cups (1/4 quart) bottles.
