Subject: Weighted Swim Bait Hooks ?

I have been in the market for some weighted swim bait hooks, but I want some that I can fish fast and still fish the bait deep. The heaviest I have found is a 10/0 with 1/2 oz weight. That seems kind of light to me for the application I want to use. Anyone know where a guy can find some swimbait hooks that are 10/0 to 12/0 and have closer to an oz of lead? Is this something I would have to make on my own? Thanks!

I'm looking for the same thing for use with 12" action plastic baits. I've pretty much decided that I'm gonna have to make my own. You should be able to make a really easy mold out of a 2x4 cut in half and the "mold" made with a dremel.

I have found that I can buy unweighted swimbait hooks in 10/0 and then just buy rubber core weights in 3/4 oz and/oz 1 oz and crimp them onto the hooks.

Wind some lead solder round the hook shank, or just use a jig head if you don't need it to be weedless.
