How many have had success early spring in the U.P.? Being so much further north and the season opening sooner - how does that affect fishing during this time? Would you target typical shallow warming areas or look for the big girls suspended?
Mamie, Big, East/West Bay Lakes?
Thank you in adcance for sharing any experience.

How early are you talking? I'll be a little East of those lakes in mid June and am curious myself how to fish up there.

The Boundary Waters Musky Club has been holding a club outing that weekend for the past couple of years. We fish any waters that are open season, it definately depends on the weather but we have fish registered every year. We are mainly fishing Iron Co.. Paint, Brule, Emily, Chicaugon. etc. It is a great time we camp out at the Paint River Hills Campground in Crystal Falls and that is our outing headquarters, campfire on Sat. evening and small cookout on Sunday afternoon
