Hi Guys, Well we finally got one of the new Titans done. This is the lure we have been working on for the last three years. Johnny Dadson has been pounding one for two years now with zero failures or damages to the lure. I wanted to build a deep diver that would be able to pound rocks year after year without breaking the body or peaning the lip over, breaking the lips etc. As many of you know the Canadian Shield has been the death of thousands of deep diving crankbaits via rock bashing. Lures like the Wishmaster , Parrywinkle and Lunge Locker built some baits that would last and each solved the problems associated with pounding rocks in different ways. I think in this lure we have built the most indestructable diver yet. Only time will tell but so far this lure has proven to have a tougher lip then the Wishmaster(Titanium vs Aluminum) while costiung 75 dollars less to build. The top coats are Envirotec and torch applied 8 coats. It has proven to be stronger than the stainless steel lips because to keep weight down stainless steel has to be thinner making the lips prone to bending. Titanium bridges the gap between Aluminum and Steel. To make this work in a Cedar lure we have had to Ply in hardwood into the nose of the blank prior to cutting the blanks out. This has proven to be the best way to keep the lure from splitting as many other production baits have been prone to. (Blowing the lids off them) or blowing the tops off the lures behind the diving bills. Our bait can not split behind the lip. Even if the lip breaks free from the epoxy it can not move since it is pinned with two stainless steel 1/8th pins which are pressed into the hardwood core of the lure.

All of these modifications have made this 12 inch Deepthreat heavier but she still floats with an inch of the tail sticking out of the water. She runs a little faster than the lexan lipped Deepthreats reaching speeds of 6 plus mph without weight ahead of it. Action is nice and the thump is as Johnny said Impressive. I asked Johnny if we should build this lure for sale and his words were BUILD MAN BUILD!!!! . It has taken almost a year to find the time to build one and now I have 9 more lips ready to go. This one is numbered #2 as Johnny's bait is #1 . I hope you guys can appreciate the work that went into designing and building this rock crusher. I feel it is my finest creation, I consider it the Humvee of lures Built to last ,built to pound and ready to put huge fish in someones boat. Enjoy Mike
