i would like some feedback on two blanks - the legend tour. 8'6" XHF and the premier 8'6" XHF . was wondering if these blanks are the same in power , meaning will they cast the same baits the same ?? what i mean is if you were to cast , say a 10 oz. bait , do they feel the same or is one rod underpowered than the other ? i want to use it for a swimbait rod , and was told by Nate of Natesbaits , that the legend tour. is under rated by alot and that it will throw up to 16 oz. baits with ease . yeah i know it is rated from 4-10 oz. he is a musky fisherman and says it will throw those 16 oz. baits you guys use ( the pounder?) so to get to it , was wondering if i would save money on getting the premier blank instead if it has the same power as the legend big dawg . i am hoping that you guys can give me the facts

I wouldn't use that premier xhf for pounders. I used that same premier for a year and the biggest I would throw with it is mag dawgs. I have not used a legend.

I throw mamouth sues & 2pounders with my legend tournys I think they weigh 22-26oz. I did try to throw them with a premier and it felt too soft.

I threw pounders all through November to the 22nd of December this past fall/winter on my 8'6" XH Premier...and did not have any problems. I like it much more than the XXXH 7'9" because it is more accurate and atually loads up. I did not have a problem setting the hook with that rod. But...if you have the $$$ the 8'6" Legend "Bif Dawg" is better. That rod is awesome!

so there is a difference in the two rod blanks even tho they are labeled the same , thanks guys , i guess i got to come up with a little extra cash and get the big dawg legend tournament !!!! ;0

Yeah id go withe legend tourny if you can afford it. The legend is lighter, premiers are good rods though.
