 Posts: 34 Location: OHIO | Hi everyone, well the frozen tundra & glacial icecap is slowly retreating northward here in Ohio.. Time to get back into lure testing and fishing Finally!.. I believe Ohio recorded its largest snowfall amounts for February this year, so much for Global Warming.. No ice free waters here just yet in my immediate area,, but I hope to have open water for lure swimtests shortly.. Here is a group of 5" and 7" minnows I just finished up.. I was playing around with very simple color blending, no scale work, just blending.. These all have the same topcoat-- twin-layered epoxy with very fine gold/silver glitter mixed into it.. Some have a little red/blue/green glitter too.. The glitter effect didint show up in the pics tho, very disappointed in that.. they really look sweet in hand.. I might add the gill/fin marks before its all done but for now Im happy w/the results.. Most of these would be for walleye enthusiasts more so than musky, and the pike will smash just about anything, so maybe they'll hook a few pike as well..!
