I'm curious..... do you buy more lures in the summer or winter? I always thought I buy more in the winter to help curb cabin fever.... but doggone dude.... I seem to buy a boatload of lures due to impulse buying during the open water season. What's up with that???

My house is full of impulse buying sprees...fishing/hunting/camping...odds + ends stuff that fill every empty spot...stuff I think I have to have at the moment but later realize I still haven't used it...BUT...over the past few months I have toned down my "need to aquire" + look to rid meself of excees stuff...or at least try![:0]

I try NEVER (spring, summer, fall, winter) to enter a sporting, discount, or tackle store and emerge without at least one new item for my musky arsenal. My wife tells me I'm sticking to my plan like glue. Says she wouldn't mind if I actually kept it to one, only one!...[;)]
I have to keep reminding her that the guy who's dies with the most musky tackle WINS...[:0] [:p] []

I only need 10 lures. You guys are crazy. Well, I do need 3 colors of each of those 10.
Oh and yes, the boat gets out of balance if I don't carry at least 60 more in different weight sensitive areas and scattered across the front deck. But really, all I need is just them 10.

guilty as charged! If I walk into a tackle shop, hell will freeze over before I leave without a bait. [:praise:]

I think you really need to wait for the reply from the King of impulse buying. The one, and only, Gregger!!!

I usually pick up a lure or two every trip out. Not to much at the shows. I guess I'm not too badly afflicted. I do get buyers remorse sometimes. Like right after I bought the new boat this spring! I thought many times about how I could have just updated the old one with a new bowmount, maybe a newer and bigger motor. But, every time I get on the water with the new one, I am glad I made the purchase. About 5 years in the making, it's done and I'm happy.

Tight lines,

Shep[:sun:]

ALLWAYS looking for new, best thing is to leave wallet in car and only take a 20 dollar bill in the tackle store. Wife gives me the evil eye when I walk in with a grocery bag full and I did not go to grocery store.

For some reason my vehicle can't drive past Rollie and Helen's either...without stopping and taking a look even though I don't need another lure. I don't know how many baits I've gone through to end up with the DEADLY DOZEN. My lure additiction gives my wife a hobby too...I just try to make sure I'm gone the day the credit card bill comes in the mail.[]

I buy lures all year. Currently, I have about 100 I do not use. SOOOO... obviously, I need to find the 100 I WILL use, and continue the search....[]

I have to keep my buying to a minimum because my wife only gives me one cubic yard in the garage, the top of the work bench, and half of the spare bedroom closet. My fever is year round in my thoughts so I try to spead the spending out. I must tell Her Hinderness that "I think I have everything I need now" 200 times a year. If you need it get it.[:p] [] [] [;)]

Fortunatly I am too busy and there are no tackle stores close by to buy any lures in the summer. But I do put in an order here and there for lures I have run out of and/or decide I now need. [:p]

Where are those catalogs.

Its the bait your buddy has that is fishing with you and he popped two right in front of you on it. Those are the baits that drive you crazy to get.

Some how the fever says..."I cant catch a fish until I get that bait, in that color"

We are all sick![]

I buy them all the time. I get an idea, a concept, think of another method, a day on the water and out comes my wallet.[:(]
