We know that Double Cowgirls is great for large muskies. I see that Showgirl is little smaller and easier for me but its only one treble hook. How do you like bucktail that have just one treble hook? Is it good to hook muskies? Thanks!

Double 8s are big fish magnets as well all year long! I actually had more success on them last season over double 10s. I've had no problems with a single treble hook vs double trebles. Just make sure your hooks are extra sticky and burn them babies in!

Also if you want on a showgirl you can add a second hook. Just attach a split ring to the shaft, then another split ring with the hook on it to that one. Attach it anywhere above the flashabou, I usually like to put it right between the two beads on the shaft just above the flashabou.

I did too. Try giving them a short, but strong pull when you start your retrieve. Reel fast to take up line then settle into your retrieve. There may be some tuning you can try, but this has worked in the couple I have.

If the blades don’t spin well, it’s typically the clevises get bent/stretched outwards after extended useage. Take a needle nose pliers and pinch the clevis back to a U-shape so that the clevis is perpendicular to the wire shaft. Make mirror adjustments here as it’s very easy to pinch them in too much.

I’ve had new blades out of the package not spin well and slight tweaking of the clevises is all it took….. or if your blades get bent out of shape, you’re due for a rebuild.

Hope this helps

I've had the same problem, especially with their painted blades. A few years ago (not sure what they're currently using) the painted blades were steel, so they were heavy and had difficulty spinning. The only solution I was given from MM was to bend the eyelet down so it makes a keel. I suppose it helps but they definitely need a kickstart to get them going. I tend to only use unpainted blades or the ones with a coating (like the red, smoke, et cetera).

start to reel as soon as it touchs the water and most of the time smacking the surface gets em going.also tune em up .

Great bait for burning!

As far as the hook goes upgrade to a Bigger treble and you'll have no hookup issues.

always skeptical anymore about only one treble in the back because I had a muskie t bone the front half of a dbl 10 a couple yrs back and I could see it happening plain as day and it got off, also I think that has happened to me other times with the same brand bucktails! you cant put another treble in the front of these very well because there silicone skirts and they get all bunched up on the treble bad

Showgirls have flashabou skirts. You can still add an extra hook, it might get tangled some, but really no worse than a DC10.

I find that fish eat the front of the bait in the figure 8. So yeah, you need another hook imo. I had one of the largest fish I've had eat, take a showgirl at boatside and not get hooks for that reason. I dont use them much anymore. A great substitute is a mini glittertail with an added front hook.

I have Gerry's Girls and they spin as soon as they hit the water. Give Gerry a ring and he will make you some fine bucktails.

The best showgirls are tall, shapely, and have long legs. They're not necessarily bad. Some work regular jobs during the day. Some are great dates. There are lots of them in Vegas.

I have a few DBL8s and DBL10s that I made with only one treble. I caught my PB last year on a DBL10 that had only one treble. I actually like the profile a little better. I can fmake them heavier and yet still big enough to intise the big gurls...

But if it doesn't come with a second hook, adding a 2nd hook is quite easy, all you need is a split ring, split ring pliers and a hook... The rest is pretty self explanitory
