| I was just wondering if anyone could help me on any information about Webster Lake, Indiana fishing. My self and 2 of my friends are serious fisherman who just started fishing for Musky. Our passion was Bass Fishing, but after going to our first Trip together to Leesville Lake, OH, we found ourselves in love with MUSKY FISHING. I myself caught 3 musky at Leesville, my frist one on my Second CAST! We are taking more serious trips and Webster is our next stop, we were plannig the trip in late july, any information about, Lure Choice/Color, hot spots, or any other techniques on this lake would help alot. Thank you. |

As far as Webster goes, late July usually brings 80+ degree water temps and fishing for muskies is not really the best idea. I would consider changing your trip to either the spring time or sometime in September. Feel free to contact me at: [email protected] and I'll be glad to help you out. |

Location: Syracuse, Indiana | Mike is spot on with his advice. You may also want to check out his web site (www.mikehulbert.com) - sorry if I'm not supposed to list the site. I believe the research will show that spring and fall water temperatures are more conducive to successfully limiting fish mortality. Find the shad, and you'll find the muskies. Don't be afraid to fish open water (at least as open as the water can be on a 500 acre lake). Don't be surprised to catch big bass there too. |
